Dillman Training Center, About Pickles Dillman

Dillman Training Center, Home of Pickles DillmanPickles Dillman was raised on Bill Miner's ranch in Checotah, Oklahoma.  It was here that he started his first horse at the young age of 9 followed by riding bulls at 13 and eventually trying his hand with mustangs when he was 15.  Pickles made the move north to Minnesota in 1994 where he established the Dillman Training Center.

When the Dillman Training Center first opened its doors, Pic worked with horses located primarily in Minnesota.  Since then he has expanded his client base and is now taking in horses and referrals from all over the country.  He will train anywhere from 60 to 80 horses a year and all breeds are welcome.

Many horses started by Pickles continue on to become great trail mounts as well as competing in sports such as:  halter, saddleseat, dressage, hunter/jumper, western pleasure, reining, and cutting.  Pic has started several horses for show barns such as:  Cedar Ridge Arabians out of Jordan Minnesota, Rum River Farms owned by Robert Ratte and Trophy Hill Sport Horses to name a few.

Pickles Dillman has over 30 years of training experience and it shows in the quality of his work.  In addition to horse training, Pic has been a member of the rodeo circuit for the last 25 years, where his sport of choice is steer wrestling.  Pic has made the MRA Finals every year since 1995 and will be making a run at the state title again this year.  His horse "Webster" (which he raised and trained) won the "Hazing Horse of the Year" Award in 2004 and again in 2007 from the Minnesota Rodeo Association!
